Battle of Buffets

The Battle of the Buffets is one of the key events of the Joy of Giving Week in Chennai brought to you by Oriental Cuisines and GiveIndia. A gala fundraising event for NGOs in Chennai at absolutely NO Cost to the NGOs, it brings together top chefs and top artistes of the city for an evening of audio-visual and culinary entertainment. The event is unique in that every NGO raising funds through the event will get to take the ENTIRE FUNDS – the cost of the event being covered by the participating hotels and artistes.

Event Details:

• Date: 1st October 2009
• Venue: Chennai Trade Centre
• Time: 6.30 p.m – 11.00 p.m
• Participating Hotels and restaurants – Copper Chimney and China Town (from Oriental Cuisines), Taj Coromandel, The Park, Raintree, Le Meridien, Savera, Residency, and Adyar Ananda Bhavan.
• Artistes performing at the event – Padmashri Sudha Raghunathan, Karthik, Chennai Sangamam Drummers, Suhasini Maniratnam and the hostess for the evening

How to Get an Invite to the Event:

• Choose an NGO and cause that you would like to support from the list that follows (NGOs not on the list are not participating in the event)
• Make a donation in multiples of Rs 5000 (by cheque) to the NGO – contact the NGO for details and the procedure
• The NGO will deliver the passes to the event to you closer to the date of the event
